Pray the Scriptures

Good morning,

We can pray the scriptures. The Bible is full of scriptures with words we can use to pray for ourselves and for others.  The following are just a few of the prayers I have discovered.

John 17: 4 (KJV)

(JESUS PRAYED)

4.  I have glorified thee on the earth:  I have finished the work which thou gavest me.

(Our prayer can be the same as JESUS's prayer.  Help me to finish the work you have given me to do.)

II Timothy 4: 6-8 (KJV)

(Paul said)

6.  For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is now at hand.

7.  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8.  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous judge, shall give me at that judgment day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love HIS appearing.

(Prayer: LORD, help me to fight a good fight, finish my course and keep the faith.)

Acts 1: 24 (KJV)

24.  And they prayed, and said, Thou, LORD , which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen,

(That's the same prayer we can use in our situations. Prayer: "Lord, you know, show me.")

Ephesians 1: 2-3 (KJV)

2.  Grace be to you, and peace, from GOD our FATHER, and from the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

3.  Blessed be the GOD and FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in CHRIST.

(We can pray blessings on our family members and others from Bible scriptures.)

Matthew 6: 33-34 (KJV)

33.  But seek ye first the kingdom of GOD, and HIS righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

34.  Take therefore no thought for the morrow:  for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself .  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

(Our prayer can be, Help me, LORD, not to worry, but turn my eyes to your kingdom first and all it has to offer and take one day at a time.)

Acts 16: 31-32 (KJV)

31.  And they said, Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32.  And they spake unto him the word of the LORD, and to all that were in his house.

(Prayer: Oh LORD, in the name of JESUS, your word in Acts 16: 31, states that my house can be saved, and I pray that YOU open the ears and the eyes of the understanding of those of my family who do not know you as LORD.)

The Fig Tree

Good morning, There was a time when I questioned how "the experts" interpreted verse 32 as prophetic words that indicated the rebirth of Israel.  I knew the prophecy in Ezekiel 36: 24-38 stated that t
