A Special Blood Covenant

Biblical covenants are relationships based on strong, solemn, mutual agreements that involve promises, obligations, and rituals. Biblical covenants make two parties into one.  The participants are joined together and are identified with each other. There are two kinds of covenants that on several occasions are mentioned in the Bible.  One is a salt covenant and the other is a blood covenant.

A blood covenant is the more serious of covenants and more permanent because it is sealed by the shedding of blood. According to Hebrews 10:16, the LORD has made a blood covenant with those of us who choose to accept HIM and who choose to join in the agreement with HIM. This covenant is extended to all. Because of this blood covenant, we are identified as one with our LORD. HALLELUJAH!

 Hebrews 10: 14-23 (ESV)

14. For by a single offering HE has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.

15.  And the HOLY SPIRIT also bears witness to us; for after saying,

16.  "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,  declares the LORD:  I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds."

17.  Then HE adds, " I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more."

18.  Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.

19.  Therefore, brothers. since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of JESUS,

20. By the new and living way that HE opened for us through the curtain, that is through HIS flesh,

21. And since we have a great priest over the house of GOD,

22. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

23.  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for HE who promised is faithful.

Luke 23: 44-46 (KJV)

44.  And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

45.  And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent (split, divided) in the midst. (in the middle)

46. And when JESUS had cried with a loud voice, HE said, FATHER, into thy hands I commend MY SPIRIT: and having said thus, HE gave up the ghost.

The Fig Tree

Good morning, There was a time when I questioned how "the experts" interpreted verse 32 as prophetic words that indicated the rebirth of Israel.  I knew the prophecy in Ezekiel 36: 24-38 stated that t
